We have been involved in Golden Retrievers since 1991, with the purchase of our first Golden - Oban's Dundee, pictured on our  Dundee page.   A true English type dog that inspired me to do more for this beautiful breed.

  

Starting with local dog shows and breeders I gradually came to dedicate myself to the breed.  We have aspired to learn everything we possibly can, a process that is on-going and far-reaching.  All throughout, I have developed many strong bonds and friendships that have enabled me to learn more and more about every aspect of this wonderful breed.

In 2005 Norsehaven Kennel was founded and registered with the Canadian Kennel Club.  We are a small kennel, so we only produce litters occsasionaly and selectively.  All our dogs live with us in our home and are part of our family.

 

We're very active with our goldens: going hiking, swimming in lakes, bike rides in cool weather, and of course our daily walks. We like to do obedience training with them so they are well rounded and can be taken anywhere without problems.We are also very involved in conformation shows and field work. Our dogs are well socialized with people and animals alike. We love them dearly and are extremely proud of them.
